PROSTITUTION – WORKERS OF INIQUITY
Prostitution is not just a social vice; it is also a spiritual problem.
Some people are prostitutes but they are unaware of their actions and the implication of what they are doing.
Is this possible? Yes, it is possible.
While some are well aware of what they are doing.
We would look at the entirety of prostitution and x-ray it from the scripture to glean lessons that will aid our work.
The bitter side of this is that ignorance is not an excuse, many people have lost their lives and valuable resources without understanding what the cause of their problem is.

WHAT IS PROSTITUTION?
The dictionary definition of prostitution says – the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment.
It is simply having sexual intercourse for payment.
Even married men and women still sell sex for payment, so also many believers sell their fellowship with the Spirit for money.
WHO IS A PROSTITUTE?
Anyone who sells sex for payment.
WHAT IS SEX?
FELLOWSHIP(SEX):
Sex or fellowship as we may use the words interchangeably mean the same thing in this course of study.
Fellowship is for our spiritual marriage and sex is for our physical marriage. This is because we are the bride of Christ, to understand this, use this link to learn more.
We should have fellowship with the Holy Spirit and have sex with our earthly spouses.
Any assault on your sexuality by any spirit being is not approved by God and shouldn’t be indulged.
There is one God but three persons and man has interfaced at different dispensations with the three persons in one God.
Now, we are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit which is the last of the dispensations.
2 Corinthians 13:14
“14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” NIV
The closing remark or opening remark of Apostle Paul always shows the threefold relationship we have with God.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ brought righteousness when He paid for our sins and extended a hand of fellowship to us.
The following scriptures show part of the things Jesus gave to us
1 Corinthians 1:30
“30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.” NIV
2 Corinthians 5:21
“21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” NIV
That’s what grace gave us – righteousness
The next thing is the love of God. The love of God was what started this whole thing which we see in John 3:16 – 18
“16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” NIV
The love God has for the world made Him send His son, Jesus Christ who died for us, and by grace, this love of God has brought peace between us and God
Galatians 5:1 – 2
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] boast in the hope of the glory of God.” NIV
God’s love brought Jesus which gave us peace with Him.
But there is a third part of our walk with Him which is the fellowship of the Spirit.
Many of us accept the love of God, the grace of Jesus but we pay little or no attention to the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, which completes the equation.
Romans 14:17
“17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit” NIV
The kingdom of God has 3 components and we can rewrite this scripture by adding other components we have explored and it will look thus:
- Righteousness – the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
- Peace – Love of God
- Joy – fellowship of the Holy Spirit
These make the entire equation complete.
God loved us and gave us His son, who died and brought grace establishing righteousness and bringing peace with God which comes by faith.
Then, we have to fellowship with the Holy Spirit to have joy with which we bear fruit in the kingdom and with which we draw from the well of salvation.
Isaiah 12:3
“With joy, you will draw water
from the wells of salvation” NIV
Without Joy in the Holy Spirit which comes from fellowship with Him, we cannot maximize our salvation.
But the church has neglected this last phase of our salvation. Everything a believer does after salvation lies in one thing – fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Without it, we can’t bear fruit and we may lose everything we worked on the last day – let me show you this from the scripture.
THE PARABLE OF THE 10 VIRGINS
“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.
4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.
5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” NIV
For many years, the parable of the 10 virgins bothered me. Whatever Jesus addressed in his earthly ministry was serious and something he wanted us to pay attention to.
I didn’t understand it until I began a book project recently.
Why would the bridegroom say he doesn’t know them?
These people were waiting on the second coming of Christ, they were virgins.
A woman in the scripture represents the church as we have seen earlier in the link above and a virgin woman represents a pure church.
A pure church has been purchased by the blood of the lamb, they have accepted righteousness by faith and they had another vital instrument in this end time which is – the word of God.
The lamp in the scripture represents the word of God as the psalmist rightly said in Psalm 119:105
“Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.” NIV
The word is a lamp.
In the Old Testament, the LORD commanded the Israelites that the fire must not go out and the priest must add wood to the fire every morning.
Leviticus 6:12 – 13
“12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it.
13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.” NIV
The word must be studied every day for the fire to remain.
A lot of Christians go to prayer meetings and they catch fire.
However, they are unable to retain the fire personally for a long time because they do not add wood to the fire every morning.
Fire burns on wood and when the wood finishes, the fire goes out.
But if the wood is added daily, the fire doesn’t go out.
Their altars are full of ashes, cold ashes of burnt wood and they have refused to put fresh wood.
Hence you do not study the word, you can’t be on fire for long.
No wonder in Acts 2:3, the Holy Spirit descended in tongues of fire.
But there is a third mixture to this which is the oil.
The oil in the scripture represents the Holy Spirit, this is why the oil is used for anointing which is the Spirit coming upon someone.
1 Samuel 16:13
“13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.” NIV
Whenever the anointing oil is used, the Spirit of the Lord comes upon the person.
So, these 10 virgins had the word which is the lamp.
They were all waiting for the bridegroom, they were all dressed up like brides but one thing distinguished some from others and that was the oil.
In Leviticus and even in the Old Testament, God never asked the priest to add oil to the fire because they couldn’t.
You see, the Old Testament is the shadow of the new and then, they didn’t have access to the Holy Spirit like we do now.
The oil is gotten from the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and this also shows when the bridegroom arrived and they trimmed their lambs, the fire was out.
Ashes were on the lamp of some and they needed oil to keep the fire burning.
And the wise ones told them they couldn’t share their oil with them because our fellowship with the Spirit is personal, it cannot be transferred.
They were asked to go and buy.
They went to buy and by the time they came back, the wedding feast had started and the bridegroom told them he didn’t know them.
WORKERS OF INIQUITY
A look at another set of people whom the bridegroom said to depart from Him that He doesn’t know them were those in Matthew 7
Matthew 7:21 – 23
“21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” NIV
These set of people were not unbelievers, they were believers because they worked for God.
They performed miracles in His name and yet He told them He doesn’t know them.
WHY?
It is the lack of the fellowship of the Spirit. “Knew” as used in this scripture is the same word used as “know” in the case of a man knowing a woman.
As used in Matthew 1:25 – Joseph did not know Mary until after the birth of Jesus Christ even Adam did know his wife, Eve.
The word is ginōskō
For the 5 foolish virgins and the workers of iniquity, their challenge was the lack of the fellowship of the Spirit which is akin to sexual intercourse.
WHAT HAPPENS IN SEX?
During sex, the bridegroom releases his seed to his bride and the bride gets pregnant and delivers according to the seed of the groom.
For any couple who has repeatedly given birth to a particular gender, it is not the fault of the woman, she delivered what she was given.
A woman is supposed to give birth according to the seed of her husband.
But guess what the people who said they worked for God did?
They had no intimacy with the Spirit and yet, they bore fruit.
They were trying to put the fruit they bore for someone else on their groom and Jesus told them they were workers of iniquity.
It is like a woman getting pregnant for another man and putting it on her husband.
This is why Jesus called them workers of iniquity – there was no intimacy between us, where did you get the fruit you bore? Where?
Many of us who think we are working for God aren’t working for Him, we are either serving the purpose of the enemy or serving ourselves.
If you didn’t get your seed from the fellowship of the Spirit, then you are a worker of iniquity and God wouldn’t accept the fruit.
The program, projects, works, etc you are doing, who are you working for? Did you get the instruction(seed) from God or did you do what was the “in-thing” to do and you started doing it?
Many people go intimate with the Spirit, get pregnant, and bear fruit and others are onlookers, they rush to go do the same thing but no one can get pregnant for each other – none!
You have to go into your groom yourself.
John 15:1 – 8
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.
2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful.
3 You are already clean because of the words I have spoken to you.
4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.
6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” NIV
It is this cutting off and throwing in the fire that the bridegroom did to the 5 foolish virgins and the workers of iniquity.
The first to our salvation is what God has done for us that we accept but we have a work to do which is to bear fruit via fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
Many do not bear fruit at all like the 5 foolish virgins while some bore strange fruit like the workers of iniquity – both categories were still thrown out and rejected.
One of the tactics of the enemy in the end time is to keep people busy as much as possible. You are too busy that you do not have time to fellowship which is the currency to buy this oil.
We all have the same 24 hours and yet, some people find time to tarry before the Lord every day while some do not even go to their lover.
What kind of marriage will there be if the couple does not have sexual intercourse?
There will be no marriage and no children and this is a heinous crime because no partner should deny each other his body. After all, you do not own your body.
Dear married folk, do you deny each other sex?
There is no marriage with no sex. Sex is the glue of marriage just like fellowship is the glue of redemption.
1 Corinthians 3:10 – 15
10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be built with care.
11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.
14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
Your work will be tested by fire which means that your work will be looked at from the screen of fellowship.
To see if it aligns and those that do not align will be burnt up.
We are not called to be creative and think out things, we are called to download and manifest God’s will on earth.
HOW TO RETRACE YOUR STEPS
There is a script you are supposed to act on.
As a gospel music minister, your job is not to write songs, your job is to download sounds from heaven.
And produce them over here.
Remember, the scripture says in Matthew 6:10
“10 your kingdom come,
you will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven” NIV
It is as it is in heaven that it should be on earth, if it is not in heaven, it should not be on earth.
How you get to know the things that are in heaven is through the fellowship of the Spirit.
I Corinthians 2:6 – 10
“6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[b]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.[c]
14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them fools and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
to instruct him?”[d]
But we have the mind of Christ.
Do you know the mind of the father or are you just doing anything that occurs to you?
Dear writer, you shouldn’t be thinking of what to write, you should download what to write. It is prostitution to write without getting the seed from God.
This blog is born of the Spirit, I didn’t think of it. I know God has called me to be a prophetic writer.
My writings have to be downloaded and what you read here came from the Spirit as I fellowshipped with Him.
1 John 5:4
“4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. “ NIV
If the world is overcoming it, check, that it was not born of the Spirit.
Just like the world couldn’t annihilate scriptures, they couldn’t overcome.
So the world will not be able to contain what is born of God but the price is fellowship of the Spirit.
If not for time and space, I would take the time to show you the lack of fellowship of the Spirit. How it affects the believer, and even makes some Christian women go childless.
No one will be barren nor miscarry in our land and yet, many Christian women go childless.
Part of the reason is that they are not bearing fruit and so they can’t bear fruit physically.
Christianity is no joke, your physical reality is an expression of your spiritual reality.
I hope to do a book on this if the Lord permits me as I share my journey to motherhood with you.
CONCLUSION
Remember, the fellowship of the Spirit is not optional or only for the ministers of the Gospel, it is for everyone.
It is an individual work that doesn’t replace the corporate fellowship with the brethren – the local church.
But if all you have is the fellowship at the local church with no personal work with God, then that is what it means to be a foolish virgin.
