SELLING IS SPIRITUAL

SELLING IS SPIRITUAL

Market
Selling

It is no longer news that people get spiritual powers to outsell their competitors.

The Spirituality of money isn’t in doubt anymore

While growing up I heard news of people who used spiritual powers to make sales, it was all sad tales but everyone believes it.

How do you explain one person making sales where over 20 people are selling almost the same products at the same price?

It is known in Africa that people use charms and spiritual powers to make sales and most times, the Christian doesn’t know how to activate or bring in his power in the marketplace.

This is what we are about to examine and we will x-ray the life of the job to understand this phenomenon better.

WHO IS  JOB?

Job was the richest man in the East in his time

Job 1:1 -3

In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.

He had seven sons and three daughters,

and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.” NIV

He was very wealthy in his time and another quality about him was that he was God-fearing.

Typical of all wealthy men, Job was fearful. He had a lot of fears concerning the safety of his family and wealth; you can see this fear in his statement when he lost everything.

Job 3:25

25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” NIV

This statement shows us that he was afraid of losing everything he had.

What did he do with his fear?

That’s the same thing every Christian should do in the marketplace.

You don’t go to the wolves unguided. The marketplace is a place of war and if people come with spiritual powers to influence the decision of the buyers, that is to tell you that as a Christian, you can do that too.

In our terminology, it is called favor. People favor you and prefer to buy from you than your competitors.

This is of course after you have done your due diligence and put up all the measures that are required of you as a businessman.

We do not bring a shabby product and service to market and expect to sell more than those whose products are excellent.

Excellent is our watchword.

However, you are not the only excellent businessman in the market, you also need an advantage over others and this is where favour comes in.

I have this young boy I patronize whenever I go to market, people wait in line to buy from him. I do not understand why I choose to stand in the queue when I can easily patronize the empty stands.

That’s favor, it is unexplainable!

BE LIKE JOB

Because Job was fearful, he had to take action to mitigate his fear, he didn’t allow his fear to drown him, his fear drove him to take measures to ensure the things he feared never happened.

That is how we should respond to fear, we shouldn’t sit on it and wail, our fear should drive us to look for ways to mitigate it.

Job used the blood to keep the enemy away.

Job 1:6 – 12

His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning, he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.

One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”

Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.

10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.

11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”

12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.” NIV

Job’s fear drove him to cover every area of his life with the blood including his businesses and children.

It is worthy of note that it wasn’t his fear that opened the door to the enemy, God opened the door himself.

Job wasn’t aware of the conversation Satan had with God, he didn’t know that he was going through a test.

He felt that it was the things he feared that came upon him, however that was a test.

Fear doesn’t surpass the blood.

WHAT DOES THE BLOOD OF JESUS DO

Job lived before the time of Jesus, some Bible scholars believe the Book of Job was the first Bible book to be written.

However, Job understood the power of the blood to cover sin and bring divine protection.

In the New Testament, we do not offer the blood of animals because Jesus has died and he is the sacrificial lamb and His blood is more potent than the blood of animals.

Wherever the blood is, Satan doesn’t trespass as we saw in the life of Job.

Job applied the blood in four areas of his life.

  1. His life
  2. His household
  3. His properties
  4. The work of his hands.

This is seen in Satan’s statement, he had tried all areas to penetrate the life of Job and he couldn’t because the blood built a hedge around him.

Job 1:9 – 11

“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” NIV

Job carried the blood into his business.

CARRY THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS

Be like Job, he took the blood to his business. Some Christians believe that God is in the church building alone and doesn’t have anything to do in their business.

But they also believe that people bring charms to the marketplace. However, they do not know how to bring God into their businesses.

When you do, your business is grossly protected and the enemy with his agents cannot trespass unless God by himself opens the door.

The blood of Jesus is our ticket to divine protection.

If you are suffering a decline in sales that is unexplainable or many issues after the other in your business or place of work, please apply the blood of Jesus to the work of your hands.

HOW TO APPLY THE BLOOD

Exodus 12:22

“Take a bunch of hyssops, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning.” NIV

In the Old Testament, the blood was applied with a plant called a hyssop. They kill the animal and dip the plant into the bucket in which the blood of the animal was collected, then they apply it on their lintels, bodies or objects they want to sanctify.

The blood of Jesus Christ was shed and carried into heaven, our hyssop is our tongue. You just speak and say you cover or soak your body or business in the blood of Jesus Christ and whatever is not born of God cannot prevail.

That is how to protect your business and everything that belongs to you. Whether you are present or not, the enemy cannot penetrate.

The job wasn’t going out with his servants but everything was protected. Satan tried everything he could and didn’t get access until God granted him access.

The blood of Jesus Christ is so powerful and effective in bringing protection from the attack of the enemy and ensuring favor is upon the believer who understands its efficacy.

Do this and come back to this post to give testimony as to its efficacy.

I love you
